General: A muscular man with short, "marimo" (moss) green hair and a stern expression.
Distinguishing Marks: Three identical gold earrings in his left ear. A massive diagonal scar across his chest (from Mihawk) and scars on his ankles (from attempting to cut his feet off at Little Garden).
Post-Timeskip Update: He has a vertical scar over his closed left eye. He typically wears a long dark-green open coat over a red sash that holds his swords.

Personality

Stoic & Disciplined: Zoro is usually serious and aloof, spending his free time training with massive weights or sleeping. He is the most grounded member of the crew, often reminding Luffy of the weight of his responsibilities as captain.
Loyalty: He is fiercely loyal, famously taking all of Luffy's pain and fatigue at Thriller Bark ("Nothing happened") to save his captain’s life.
Directional Dyslexia: His most famous gag is his absolute lack of a sense of direction; he can get lost even on a straight path or while being given direct instructions.

Abilities & Powers

Three-Sword Style (Santoryu): A unique combat style where he wields a katana in each hand and one in his mouth. He is also proficient in One-Sword (Ittoryu) and Two-Sword (Nitoryu) styles.
